Violators of NREGA rules booked of Barkagaon in Hazaribagh

An FIR has been lodged against the president and secretary of the beneficiary committee of village Balodar under the Barkagaon police station in the district for alleged violation of NREGA rules. The FIR was lodged on the directive of Hazaribag DC.

 

Giving this information here on Wednesday, Hazaribag DDC N N Singh said that the DC had received a complaint wherein it was alleged that the beneficiary committee of village Balodar got a tank dug up with the help of Poclain machine. The NREGA rules stipulate that all kinds of manual work should be provided to labourers so that they earn their livelihood.

 

On the basis of the complaint, the DC ordered the DDC to inquire into the matter and submit a report to him. After conducting an inquiry into the matter, the DDC found the allegation to be true.

 

On the basis of the inquiry report, the DC ordered that an FIR be lodged against those who had violated the NREGA rules. Apart from issuing a showcause to the Barkagaon BDO, the DC also ordered to deduct his one-day salary for dereliction of duty. The DC also dismissed the block panchayat officer and the Rozgar Sevak of the Balodar village panchayat with an immediate effect.
